Which Cosmetic Companies Test on Animals?

Every day so many animals are subjected to rigorous testing by the cosmetic companies to ensure that their products are safe to use on the human skin. The animals suffer from ulcerative pain, bleeding and irritation during these tests. These animals that are used for the procedure are usually euthanized after the process. But till date, no suitable alternatives have been found that can perfectly replace the animal testing procedure. The manufacturers often argue that there is no better way to determine product safety. Scientists are also humans and they also have equal affection toward animals. After all they are also bestowed with humanity. They argue that there is no other alternative technique to prove that the cosmetic products are safe rather than this animal testing procedure. They argue that human lives are precious than animals. Don’t you think that their point of argument is also right?

The cosmetic companies given in the above list offer products that are definitely safe to use on the human skin. This guarantee would not have been possible if animal testing procedure had not been carried out.

But yes definitely somebody should come up with proper alternative or replacement procedures to animal testing. If this is done, then definitely companies can think of stopping this procedure.

Scientists have a point when they say that people still kill animals and eat them, yet the same people support for a protest campaign against cosmetic companies that test on animals. Do you think the logic is correct?

There are few other companies which also that claim that they do not test on animals. But we do not know how far this is true; there are many false claims being made by many companies.

Killing for food is also subject to regulations, one being a maximum time for the killing procedure to take place to minimize pain and suffering. While I don’t support any pain and suffering this is how it is. Testing chemicals often requires long periods of pain and suffering sometimes to the point of death, all for financial gain for the company. I think there is a little difference between the two, don’t you.
If you need to add a new chemical to some eye liner or mascara to make it look a little brighter, is it ok to test the maximum dosage of that chemical in the eye before it is damaged or until the animal is in pain???
There is a reason they don’t advertise what they are doing, and they are good at keeping it secret.
