When I think about the term hair loss, the first image that comes to mind is the hair from my head coming out on my comb, brush, or my pillowcase. Almost everyone would think that hair loss is restricted to your tresses, but that’s not really the case. There are times when women face trouble with losing facial hair too.
I know what you’re probably thinking, that this poor girl has been in the sun too long and it’s addled her brain! We’re all trying to get rid of the hair on our faces, not wondering how to grow facial hair. Well, let me explain what I meant by facial hair loss, then you’ll understand why I brought it up.
A lot of women who have had extreme chemical treatments like chemotherapy, or who have a genetic predisposition to alopecia, sometimes find that the hair on their eyebrows or eyelashes starts falling out. This is a very painful phenomenon to deal with, as eyebrows and eyelashes are part of a woman’s beauty and the thicker they are, the more attractive one looks.
How to Grow Facial Hair for Eyes and Eyebrows
It’s important to remember that the reasons for hair loss on the face would normally be the same as those for the hair on your head. These include the use of harsh products, chemical treatments, skin infections, poor diet or the effects of a disease. Now let’s take a look at some remedies and understand how to grow facial hair.
- The first thing to do is to make sure that your diet is well-balanced and includes lots of vitamins (most importantly vitamins E, A, B3 and C), iron, leafy green vegetables and Omega 3 fatty acids. Add poultry, eggs or milk to your regular meal and eat fish and nuts for their natural benefits. Also, keep your body hydrated by drinking lots of water.
- Apply olive oil or castor oil on your eyebrows and massage it in gently with an eyebrow brush or your fingertips. Do this at least once during the day and once more at night before you go to bed. This will stimulate the hair follicles and cause them to produce hair faster, along with making your hair stronger and thicker. For your eyelashes, just use an old clean mascara brush to apply oil on them.
- In case these remedies don’t work, you should consult a specialist as there may be some deeper cause that needs to be treated. Certain diseases or internal dysfunction of the body can trigger these symptoms and if you are losing a lot of hair you should not let it go unchecked.
These techniques are also useful in case you have plucked or waxed your eyebrows too much and need them to grow back faster. If you’ve had facial hair loss, try them and let me know how well they work for you. Leave a note or comment here because I would love to know what you think of these tips.
