Things to Know About Loreal Hair Dye

Advertisements

I love to experiment with my hair. As I am blessed with beautiful long and voluptuous hair, I style them differently. However, my hair has started greying, so I was wondering if I could cover it with hair dye. I have read about the harmful effects of hair dye, so was in two minds whether to try it out or not. I visited a hair expert, who informed me about the Loreal hair dye in detail.

Safest and Best – Loreal Hair Dye

My first expression after using L’Oreal hair dye was a big “Wow”. I got the same expression from my friends and colleagues too after they saw my hair. My hair got a new shine and it covered all my grey hair brilliantly. It lasted for almost 28 shampoos and did not have any harmful effect on my hair.

There are 3 levels in any colouring dye. They are:

  • Level 1: At this level, the hair dye works only on the outer layer of the scalp, hence it is semi permanent. This hair dye will normally last you for maximum 12 shampoos.
  • Level 2: In this level, the hair dye comes in contact with the hair cuticle, hence it is semi-permanent. This type of hair dye will last you a longer i.e. maximum 28 shampoos. I had used this level while dyeing my hair for the first time and can vouch for this.
  • Level 3: This level is recommended only after consulting your physician. In this level, the dye enters the cortex and dyes your hair permanently. Though you will need a touch up after every 6 weeks or so when natural hair grow at the root. This type of dye should be done only under expert vigil.

Ammonia Free Dye

Loreal is the top quality brand when it comes to hair dyes. Though their products are costlier than other hair dyes, they are safe. Loreal uses casting crème gloss instead of ammonia peroxide. Ammonia has a lot of harmful side effects. For e.g. If you use colour product containing ammonia per oxide your hair will start falling. You might also face fertility problems with constant use of such hair dyes. It can turn out to be fatal for a pregnant woman using such hair dyes. All Loreal dyes pass strictest quality tests before coming in the stores.

Word of Caution

If you are pregnant, avoid dyeing your hair. You don’t want to take chances with your baby, do you? If you are allergic and have highly sensitive skin, you must consult your physician before dyeing your hair. If you are new to colouring and don’t know how to do it, you must not dye your hair on your own. You must get the hair coloured from an expert to avoid any accidents.

So, you know it all now. Go ahead and dye your hair with Loreal and let me know how it turned out to be by leaving me a comment below. Till that time, happy colouring and take care.
