Recently one of my best friends got married. I was the bridesmaid. So, I was always with her whether she shopped for that perfect dress, shoes or got her hair done. On the D-day, I accompanied her to the beauty parlor too for her makeup. I learnt an important lesson on that day.
The makeup artist did an absolutely amazing job with her face. All her flaws were concealed as if by magic. I did express this to her and asked about the products that she has used. I was surprised by her answer. She said it’s not just the quality products used that enhances the looks, but it’s equally important to have professional makeup brushes to have that perfect look. Read on what I got to know from her.
Pros of Professional Makeup Brushes
Looking beautiful and having those perfect facial features are on the wish list of every woman. Application of makeup is an art, however you need the help of professional brushes to get that art right. You can get them very easily from any departmental store /mall or even from your local beauty store from where you buy your regular makeup.
If you have the correct set, you will know that they work wonders on your face by evenly applying the makeup. Your skin will look soft (just like baby skin). There will be no patchy areas anywhere. Professional brushes have natural bristles which are sturdy. They don’t easily break off while cleaning them. The handles too are strong and have a thicker base making it easier for you to hold them. The companies usually take care to maintain good quality so you need not worry about any skin infection after using them.
However, it’s important that you take good care of them. You should wash them properly after use. Once after every two to three months use a baby shampoo to clean them. In this way you will be sure that there are no germs or old makeup on it. Usually you get a brush roll along with the set of brushes to clean the brushes. Also, there will be a pamphlet which will contain instructions as to how to maintain the brushes.
There are many reputed companies selling these brushes. You have Sigma which has a set of 12 brushes that comes in a black leather bag. Shany too has a set of 12 brushes with a leather bag. If you do want to indulge yourself, there is MAC. Or, if you have limited budget you could go for E.L.F. All sets will have application brush, angle brush, blending brush, powder brush and blush brush. This is the minimum a set may contain.
Though professional makeup brushes could be a bit expensive, they are worth of every penny invested. I couldn’t agree more after seeing my friend’s transformation from a plain-looking Jane to a fairy tale princess. I have ordered my set of brushes, what about you?
