Most people I know who use natural cosmetics will often tell me that any natural product is better than its chemical counterpart simply because it is natural. I wondered how true this is so I did my own research and talked to a few people who have been using the natural stuff for years. I’m sorry to disillusion the advocates of natural beauty products, but from the organic cosmetics review that I have come across in my research says otherwise.
Just because a product is organic or natural does not make it any safer or better. You know how there’s good and bad with everything in the market, not just cosmetics? There are some really great brands that sometimes come out with really mediocre products too. And sometimes, a company you have never heard of may come up with a genius product which surpasses anything like it before.
So you can never really just put a whole category of products into a box based on one or two factors and say for sure that it will be good or bad. I suppose we draw our conclusions from a tendency to generalize rather than actually look at both sides of an argument and pick the most logical one.
Anyway, I’m here to tell you that the best way you can serve yourself is by waking up, asking questions, doing your research and being an educated and informed consumer. Do not depend on the media, the cosmetics companies, and the sales people to tell you what’s good for you.
Finding Organic Cosmetics Review
When I first became interested in organic and natural cosmetics, I did not have the slightest clue where to begin if I wanted to buy a natural product. There are so many questions that needed answering. Where do I buy them? Is it really organic? Is it safe? Does it work? How much will it cost? What do all those words on the ingredient list mean? How do I know if it’s really natural?
My search for answers led me to come up with ways to find an unbiased organic cosmetics review from real people like you and me who have actually used the product and are not being paid to endorse it. This is the hard part.
Thankfully though, the Internet makes the job a whole lot easier. In my experience, there is some information about organic cosmetics on consumer reviews websites like http://www.makeuptalk.com. Look for reviews in unlikely places too, such as websites dedicated to natural living and holistic lifestyles. Login to their forums and chat rooms to see what the members are saying about the natural products on the market.
The best thing about these forums is that you can simply ask the other members for reviews outright. Just put up your question seeking information on a particular brand and ask for feedback. You’ll get plenty of replies. And if no one has heard of the product, you might direct be directed to someone who has.
But really, nothing beats talking to real people. If there is specialty health shops in your locality, hang out there once in awhile and try chatting up with some of the other customers there.
This is merely my two cents on getting the truth about the effectiveness of certain products. If anyone out there knows where to find good reviews, please share so everyone can benefit.
