A few months back, my days were sombre, all because of my frequent hair fall. It bothered me a lot.  As days passed by, the amount of my hair fall increased rapidly. It activated a panic button in me. I don’t know the precise reason of my hair fall. I called my friend Margaret, conveyed my apprehensions to her, she consoled me and in a jiffy, she was right at my doorstep. After giving a thorough check on my hair, she said vitamin deficiency is the main reason for my hair fall. She said I need to increase the vitamins for hair growth in my diet. I was briefed on the type of vitamins, which prevented hair loss also facilitated in hair growth. I want to present to the readers, the tips and information, I garnered from my friend. When I implemented these strategies, it gave me positive results.

Different Types Of Vitamins For Hair Growth

I took vitamin B in biotin forms, which was good for my hair. I also added niacin which was helpful in preventing hair loss. Both biotin and niacin generated the required proteins, which nurtured my hair strands. Eggs, liver, wheat germ, potatoes, chicken and brewer’s yeast are very common and easily available sources of vitamin B. Likewise I got the essential vitamins by having cabbages, apricots. This protected me from hair loss. Vitamin B12 helped me in maintaining the structure and colour of my hair.

I found out that Vitamin A plays a prominent part in cell’s growth and tissues, as well as, with the scalp and hair cells. It provides the required lubrication for the hair growth. So I took foods that are abundant in Vitamin A, like carrot, dark leaf greens, lettuce, butternut squash, Cantaloupe, orange and yellow melons.

 Biotin (vitamin B7)

I learnt Biotin is a water soluble vitamin and it assists to a great extent in hair growth. I acquire Biotin from foods like soybeans, lentils, yeast, oats, etc.  I also found Biotin in some of the shampoos.

I came to know if there is improper blood circulation or when the blood circulation gets obstructed then hair does not grow properly and this also leads to hair fall. So I took another vitamin for hair growth, Vitamin C., I added vitamin c foods to my diet. The foods I took are Brussels sprouts, cauliflower, Papaya, etc. Vitamin c assisted the blood vessels, in transporting more amount of blood to my scalp, thereby assisting my hair growth.

I also took foods laden with vitamin E, like peanuts, dried apricots, dried herbs like basil and Oregano, Sunflower seeds, and Almonds. When I had I took a sufficient amount of vitamin E, the oxygen got stimulated, improved my blood circulation and facilitated my hair growth. Likewise I came to know zinc is a vital supplement for hair growth. I consumed regular foods that are rich in zinc, like dried watermelon seeds, oysters, lamb, veal liver, sesame seeds etc. w. This improved my hair growth.

I hope ladies, the information I provided, will be of some use to you. Please leave your valuable comments.
