5 Nail Painting Tools You Might Not Know About

Ever wondered how that girl got those lines painted so straight on her left AND right hand? Well here are some of the awesome tools out there that you may not have heard of.

Nail Tape

Tape for nails? Really? Really! This tape is amazing, it is a super skinny tape that comes in every color you could possibly think of, and has a billion different uses.

Use #1 – Decoration. This tape is so thin that you can leave in on your painted nails and it looks like you took tinsel off your Christmas tree and painted it to your nails.

Use #2 – Line guide. This tape is ideal for painting small lines on your nails. First paint your base color, next apply the tape where you don’t want the polish to go. Paint in between the lines, remove the tape, and voilà! You have perfect stripes on your fingernails!

Stampers

These things are seriously way cool. Sets of these nail stampers come with something like 100 different designs. With everything from flowers, to chevron patterns, and even fancy French tips! You can get a set and all the supplies needed for about $20 online.

At first when you are applying designs to your nails using your stamper, be patient. It is hard to master in the beginning but becomes much easier with practice.

Ziploc Bags

Say What? This sounds ridiculous, I know.  When you want a really cool design painted on your fingernails, but don’t have the dexterity or skill to do it, paint your design with nail polish on a Ziploc bag! When it is dry you just peel it off, stick the design on your nails and finish with a top coat.

Nail Shields

Nail shields you have probably heard of, but then again, maybe not. There are different brands and companies out there making them. They come in millions of different designs and colors, and are super easy to apply.

Some decals are just a type of stickers, while others you attach to your nails with a blow dryer. Either way, they are super cute and will save you trips to the salon and money.

Tie-Dye Nails

This is also a new trending style with nails! It’s super easy, follow the steps below for amazing psychedelic nails!

  • Paint your nails a base color, preferably white.
  • Tape around your nails with scotch or masking tape. (this prevents the excess polish from getting on your skin.)
  • Put 3 drops of your first color choice in a glass of water, followed by another color or 2 depending on how many colors you want on your nails.
  • Quickly move a toothpick around creating any design you may want
  • Dip your nail in the water to apply the polish
  • Don’t take your nail out immediately or you will ruin the nail
  • Take your toothpick and clear out all of the extra polish you didn’t use

Ta da! Your nails are now tie-dyed. Perfect for going as a hippy to your Halloween party!

From Where To Get The Best Facial Beauty Analysis

The first thing that is noticed by anyone meeting you is your face which can tell a lot about your nature and your personality. Facial beauty needs to be taken care of well and enhanced from time to time or else the skin could lose its shine and the glow can turn dull over a period of time. I would recommend you to follow a few tips for maintaining a clean, shiny and healthy looking skin. When your skin starts looking beautiful and vibrant it is sure to gain the attention of everyone when they do a facial beauty analysis of your face.

What To Do For A Positive Facial Beauty Analysis?

As per my experience I feel that it is not at all necessary to use expensive lotions and creams for maintaining a youthful skin. All that you need to do is follow a particular routine on a regular basis like regular cleansing, toning, massaging and hydrating. Nowadays the pollution around cause skin problems like clogging of pores, acne, pimples, blemishes, etc. One of the best secrets is eating a healthy diet comprising of fresh fruits, vegetables, nuts, dairy products, sprouts, juices, salads and lots of water.

Drink At Least Ten To Twelve Glasses Of Water Regularly:

I would suggest that you drink at least ten to twelve glasses of water regularly to get the toxins flushed out and hydrate the skin well. Acne and pimples could get aggravated due to consumption of oily food and junk food. It is my own experience that when food is consumed in moderation and with discipline then its positive effects are well reflected on the skin. As a special indulgence, I would suggest that having oily food occasionally is alright.

Exercise On A Daily Basis:

Besides this it is very necessary to exercise on a daily basis to keep the body toned and at the same time flush out the toxins from the body and in the process you are sure to attain a healthy and vibrant looking skin. I know that when blood circulates efficiently in the body, complexion can only get better. Levels of stress and anxiety can reduce or remain in control. I recommend you to follow a few important steps to remain healthy and attain a glowing skin.

Pay Attention To Certain External Factors Like The Ultra Violet Rays:

When the facial beauty analysis is done it will certainly reflect your dietary habits, the lifestyle you follow as well as your personality. I must advise you to take care of your skin by paying attention to certain external factors like the ultra violet rays which can cause damage to your skin. My suggestion to you is to always wear sunscreen lotion before venturing out in the day. In fact it is best to apply the sunscreen in the morning itself so that it can last you all through the day. Make sure the lotion has a high SPF factor. Do you have any views and thoughts to share and discuss with me? Please feel free to email or write.

Beauty Products for Sensitive Skin

All my life, I’ve lived and suffered with what may be the biggest curse for a girl, skin that reacts to just about everything. Friends would lie in the sun and brag about their tans in summer, pull off the pink cheeked blushes in winter, while I was always the one covering my face wherever I went. No beauty products could do any good to me.

Luckily for all of us who struggle with sensitive skin, we no longer need to sit in the corner and hide our faces and skin from exposure. Products specially formulated for sensitive skin are now available everywhere we go, and the world of blushes and tans is no longer forbidden to us!

Easy-on-the-Skin Beauty Products

The first thing I keep in mind when I shop for any product is the magic word – hypoallergenic. Harsh chemicals are bad for any kind of skin, but these products are specially designed for skin that needs extra care and normally include natural ingredients like aloe-vera or chamomile.

Oil-based products are also avoidable; these normally end up clogging your pores, leading to acne, pimples and other monstrosities. If the product I’m considering is described as non-cosmogenic or oil-free, I normally buy it without a second thought, knowing that my skin won’t end up looking like the craters on the moon.

A word of caution – I know all the goodies that smell like flowers, bubblegum or chocolate are irresistible, but any fragrance-based product is bound to play havoc with sensitive skin. The best way to avoid rashes and allergies is to steer clear of any bottle or jar that isn’t clearly labelled “fragrance-free”.

Skin-Care Routine

The importance of SPF (Sun Protection Factor) cannot be stressed enough. Innocent-looking rays of sunshine are actually teeming with UVA and UVB rays that burn, age and wrinkle your skin, while also being a known cause of skin cancer. I always include a moisturizer with a minimum SPF 30 in my daily routine. Splash it on in the morning even if you do not plan on stepping out of your house, those nasty rays get in through your windows too.

Dirt, pollution and old skin cells also play a big role in blotchy-looking skin, so remember to cleanse your face twice a day. I use a gentle, organic cleanser which is soap-free and I’ve found that my face glows, just like all the advertisements with the fresh-faced models. I also exfoliate with a mild exfoliant once a week, which scrubs off all those dead cells that gather on the surface. Exfoliation also helps with existing skin problems, as long it’s used in moderation.

Heavy foundation and pancake make-up is a guaranteed recipe for disaster. Instead, keep your skin fresh by using a light moisturiser with SPF during the day, and a creamier one for the night. When your skin looks good, all you need is some light color on your face to enhance your features. Just remember to check the labels of any beauty products before you try using them.

How to Find Wholesale Beauty Products

While I am now able to find some pretty good deals on beauty items, I still wish I could pay less, only so I would then be able to buy more. In my search for ways to cut my beauty bills, I came across a wonderful idea from a fellow makeup lover – buy wholesale beauty products.

What! – I hear you exclaim in disbelief – You can do that!?! Yes, I know. I was really surprised too. I always thought you had to be a registered retailer or own a beauty salon or something to get wholesale rates on beauty products. While this is true to an extent, the rules can be bent.

How to Go About Buying Wholesale Beauty Products

You need to remember that a wholesaler can only afford the lower prices if you buy in bulk. So if you are looking for one tube of lip gloss or one stick of eye liner, forget it. You have to want many units of the same product to qualify for the lower rates. So how should you go about it? I mean, there’s only so much that you can use. And you can’t stock up on three years supply because these things have expiry rates. Hmmm, dilemma.

Well, not really. As with most things in life, the answer to this solution lies in your friends. Get all your gal pals together and make a list of the items that you all want. There are some basic products in every diva’s handbag and dressing table. So come to a consensus on which products you all have in common and decide on how much you want or can afford to buy.

For example, let’s say there are a dozen of you and you all want a certain hair conditioner. Each should be willing to stock up for three to six months. At one bottle per month, you’ve got each gal needing about four bottles depending on packaging and personal use. So the lot of you will need at least 50 bottles. Now that’s a number the wholesale dealers will consider.

Finding wholesalers is not a problem. Just open up a search engine on the Internet and type in the word ‘wholesale’ with the brand that you are looking for or even ‘wholesale beauty products’. A long list of websites will pop up. Then it’s just a matter of making calls or submitting online enquiries.

Keep in mind that you cannot check the products before buying them. So ensure that you really know what you want and that you check out the product in a retail store first before committing to a large order. Imagine being stuck with beauty products that just don’t work for you. What a trail!

I tried buying wholesale with my friends and so far it has been pretty smooth sailing. I spent less than half that I would have if I had bought retail.

If any of you gals out there have any tips or advice on how to buy wholesale products, do share.

Home Made Beauty Tips For Younger Looking Skin

In the search for beautiful, youthful skin, most of us end up overloading it with cosmetics and chemical products that actually cause it a lot of harm. All the beauty aids that you use, the lotions and creams you apply and the makeup that you keep putting on it makes your skin dull and lifeless over time.

I’ve used a lot of beauty products my whole life, so I’m guilty of the same crime. The trouble is that makeup is addictive, and since none of us are born with perfect skin, we have to use some products to look presentable. The best thing that you can do is to find a balance between natural beauty and cosmetic products. With these home made beauty tips, I hope to help you do just that!

Achieve Natural Beauty With Home Made Beauty Tips

I was surprised to learn that most of the ingredients that I use in my kitchen can double as natural beauty aids! Fruits, vegetables, spices and grains, coupled with a daily skin care routine, can make your skin look fabulous. It makes sense, if you think about it that if the food we consume affects our health, using it on our skin can have an impact on its health and beauty too!

Some easy ways to get glowing skin with home made beauty tips are listed below:

  • Use eggs for nourishment – The natural proteins found in eggs are excellent rejuvenators for tired skin. Just beat one egg white with the juice of half a lemon, and apply it on your face, avoiding the eyes. Rinse with warm water after 20 minutes. If you use this pack once a week, it will get rid of dullness, and act as a natural toner.
  • Make a facial scrub with grains – Grains and pulses are excellent natural scrubs, and their nutritional content pampers your skin. Try grinding a handful of whole pulses in the mixer, then mix enough water to make a thick paste. Gently rub this mix over your face (avoiding the eyes) in circular motions for about 2 minutes, and then rinse off. Your skin’s pores will be clean, dead skin scrubbed off, and a youthful glow is guaranteed!
  • Get cool with cucumbers – Cucumbers have natural astringent properties, and if you grate a cucumber, mix it with half a cup of egg-based mayonnaise and use this mixture as a face pack, it tones and tightens your skin, relieving fine lines and wrinkles. The mayonnaise will moisturize and nourish your skin at the same time. Use this pack regularly and your skin will start looking younger in no time!
  • Aloe Vera, the Miracle Herb – Aloe Vera is very easy to grow, you can plant it in a pot and keep it in your kitchen or bathroom. The fresh juice from the long fleshy leaves is one of the most popular ingredients for beauty products. Peel a leaf and apply the inner pulp over your face and body every few days to absorb the natural benefits!
